By: Miles S.B. No. 1138 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to first responder policies for emergencies occurring at a group home in certain municipalities and counties. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Chapter 370, Local Government Code, is amended by adding Section 370.010 to read as follows: Sec. 370.010. GROUP HOME POLICIES IN CERTAIN MUNICIPALITIES AND COUNTIES. (a) In this section, "group home" has the meaning assigned by Section 769.001, Health and Safety Code, as added by Chapter 141 (S.B. 188), Acts of the 88th Legislature, Regular Session, 2023.
