89R1602 MAW-F By: Hughes S.B. No. 1187 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to an unauthorized vote by a delegate or alternate delegate to a federal Article V convention; creating a criminal offense. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 393, Government Code, is amended by adding Section 393.1035 to read as follows: Sec. 393.1035. CRIMINAL PENALTY. (a) A delegate or alternate delegate commits an offense if the delegate or alternate delegate knowingly casts an unauthorized vote.
