By: Hughes S.B. No. 2800 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the imposition of a fee for oil and gas waste that is not produced in this state. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 27, Water Code, is amended by adding Section 27.0322 to read as follows: Sec. 27.0322. DISPOSAL FEE. (a) For oil and gas waste that is not produced in this state, the commission shall impose a fee of 20 cents per barrel of oil and gas waste. (b) Notwithstanding any other law, contract, or agreement, the cost of a fee imposed under this section may be passed on to the
