89R19685 TYPED By: Hagenbuch S.B. No. 2848 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to performance-based funding goals for general academic teaching institutions. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 61.059, Education Code, is amended by adding a subsection (t) to read as follows: (t) In addition to other funding authorized by this section, beginning in the 2026-27 biennium, the legislature shall appropriate funding to general academic teaching institutions using an allocation methodology that includes outcome measures to
