89R12886 CJD-D By: Bettencourt S.B. No. 2859 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to a prohibition on the receipt of bond proceeds by persons who make a contribution to certain political committees. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 253, Election Code, is amended by adding Section 253.008 to read as follows: Sec. 253.008. PROHIBITION ON RECEIPT OF BOND PROCEEDS BY PERSONS WHO CONTRIBUTE TO CERTAIN POLITICAL COMMITTEES.
