89R5359 KRM-D By: Cook S.B. No. 2894 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to a school district policy regarding custodian workloads. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 38, Education Code, is amended by adding Section 38.042 to read as follows: Sec. 38.042. CUSTODIAN WORKLOAD POLICY. (a) The board of trustees of each school district shall adopt a policy regarding custodian workload for district facilities. The policy must establish benchmarks for the amount of square feet that may be assigned to a properly equipped school custodian for maintenance
