By: Hancock S.B. No. 2977 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to notification by certain hospitals of certain standard of care information. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 241, Health and Safety Code is amended by adding Section 241.013 to read as follows: Sec. 241.013 DISCLOSURE BY HOSPITALS OF PEDIATRIC STANDARD OF CARE INFORMATION. (a) In this section, a hospital includes any hospital owned or operated by the state. (b) A hospital shall provide disclosure to the public regarding the standard of care available for pediatric patients.
