Bill overview
The Small Business Growth Act aims to help small businesses by modifying rules regarding how they can deduct the cost of business equipment and property. Specifically, it increases the amount of expenses small businesses can immediately deduct each year under Section 179 of the Internal Revenue Code. It also adjusts the inflation adjustments for these deductions to better reflect current economic conditions. These changes are set to take effect starting in 2026.
