Bill overview
This bill amends the Endangered Species Act to ensure that artificially propagated animals are treated the same as naturally propagated animals for the purposes of the law. Currently, there can be distinctions made between these two types of animals when the government makes decisions about endangered species. The bill requires the Fish and Wildlife Service to authorize the use of artificial propagation to help mitigate the impact of endangered species, applying this rule to all listed species regardless of when they were listed.
