Bill overview
The Transparency of Migration Act requires the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Health and Human Services to publicly post data about individuals in their custody who are unlawfully present in the United States. This data includes daily counts of individuals, their countries of origin, age, gender, where they’ve been released or sent, and any criminal convictions they may have. The goal is to increase transparency regarding the processing of these individuals by federal agencies. The information will be updated weekly.
