Bill overview
The Government Office Realignment And Closure Act of 2025 (GORAC Act) aims to improve the efficiency of the federal government by requiring a comprehensive evaluation of federal agencies and programs. This evaluation, conducted by a non-Federal auditor, will identify duplicative, wasteful, or outdated functions and recommend realignment or elimination. The Comptroller General will then submit a report to Congress outlining these recommendations, potentially leading to new legislation that could reduce the national debt and relocate federal employees.
