Bill overview
This bill requires the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to investigate and report on significant issues affecting the United States Postal Service, including mail theft, delays, and violations of postal regulations. The GAO will analyze nationwide trends and provide recommendations to the Postal Service and Congress on how to combat these problems. The reports will be submitted to both the House Oversight Committee and the Senate Homeland Security Committee. Ultimately, the goal is to improve security and accountability within the USPS.
