Bill overview
The Education, Achievement, and Opportunity Act proposes a refundable tax credit for families to help cover tuition expenses for their children attending public or private elementary or secondary schools. This credit would be available for each qualifying child, up to a maximum of $10,000 per year. The credit is phased out based on a taxpayer’s modified adjusted gross income, with higher incomes receiving a smaller credit.
