Bill overview
This bill, the Capitol Remembrance Act, requires the Architect of the Capitol to create and install a permanent exhibit in the U.S. Capitol that documents the January 6, 2021 attack. The exhibit must preserve damaged property from the Capitol grounds, include existing photographs, and honor the Capitol Police, other law enforcement, and individuals who were injured or died while protecting the building. It also allows for artwork to be incorporated into the exhibit, all to be completed within two years of the bill’s enactment.
