Bill overview
This bill, the Seventh Amendment Restoration Act, aims to restore the right for individuals involved in administrative hearings to have their cases reviewed by a federal district court. Currently, there are limitations on when an administrative hearing can be transferred to a court. This legislation removes those restrictions, allowing individuals to remove their cases to a district court if they reside or have a principal business within that court’s jurisdiction. It essentially strengthens the ability to challenge agency decisions in a traditional court setting.
