Bill overview
This bill, the Fairness in Vineyard Data Act, directs the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) to collect and publicly release data on grape production across the United States. Initially, NASS will conduct a survey of grape production in every state and publish the results. Subsequently, for the next four years, NASS must also share data from the five states with the highest grape production from the previous year. This aims to improve transparency and data availability for the grape industry.
