Bill overview
This bill directs the Department of Defense to conduct a study on the feasibility and cost of equipping all military aircraft operating in busy domestic airspace with advanced collision detection systems. These systems would warn pilots of potential collisions with other aircraft and, in some cases, automatically take action to avoid crashes. The study’s findings and recommendations will be reported to Congress within 180 days. This aims to improve aviation safety for military aircraft.
