Bill overview
The Rural Health Innovation Act of 2025 aims to improve healthcare access in rural areas by establishing two grant programs. The first, the Rural Health Center Innovation Awards program, provides funding to Federally qualified health centers and rural health clinics to expand services like urgent care and emergency triage, and to establish new centers. The second, the Rural Health Department Enhancement Program, offers grants to rural public health departments to bolster their emergency services, primary care, and triage capabilities. Both programs are designed to address unmet healthcare needs in rural communities.
