Bill overview
This bill creates a fund called the TRADE Fund within the Treasury to help American farmers who are negatively impacted by international trade issues like tariffs and reduced export markets. The fund will be financed by duties collected on imported goods. The Secretary of Agriculture will then use these funds to provide payments to farmers experiencing losses due to decreased exports, trade barriers, or increased production costs. The program will expire on September 30, 2030, and any remaining money in the fund will be permanently canceled.
