A BILL
To amend the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 to modify treatment activities for assistance to combat HIV/AIDS.
Section 104A(d) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 (22 U.S.C. 2151b–2(d)) is amended—
in paragraph (1)—
in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by inserting which shall be considered to be core life-saving humanitarian assistance
before including
;
in subparagraph (J), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon;
in subparagraph (K), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and
; and
by adding at the end the following:
in paragraph (2)—
subparagraph (D), by adding and
at the end; and
in subparagraph (E), by striking the semicolon at the end and inserting a period; and
by inserting after specific populations
the following: (including at-risk populations in accordance with scientific-based analysis as designated by the World Health Organization)
