Bill overview
The FASTER Act directs the Department of Homeland Security to conduct a regular, two-year survey of the infrastructure and technology along the southern border. This survey will identify gaps, damage, or maintenance issues in existing systems. If deficiencies are found, the Secretary can take expedited action to address them, potentially bypassing standard legal requirements. The goal is to improve border security by assessing and addressing weaknesses in current infrastructure.
