Bill overview
This bill would require the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) to analyze the potential economic effects of any changes to tariffs or import duties before those changes are put into place. Specifically, the CBO must publish a public report detailing the expected economic impact of tariff modifications. This aims to provide Congress with more information to assess the consequences of trade policy decisions. The bill ensures a thorough economic review is conducted before tariffs are adjusted.
