A BILL
To amend title 5, United States Code, to establish an Office of Inspector General in the Executive Office of the President and to limit the reasons for which certain Inspectors General may be removed from office, and for other purposes.
This Act may be cited as the Integrity in Government Act of 2025 IG Act of 2025

Paragraph (1)(A) does not apply to any Inspector General of an Office of Inspector General for an independent agency.
In this subsection, the term independent agency includes—
a designated Federal entity (as defined in section 415(a) of title 5, United States Code);
the Board of Veterans’ Appeals;
the Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board;
the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission;
the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission;
the Merit Systems Protection Board;
the National Mediation Board;
the State Justice Institute;
the Surface Transportation Board; and
