A BILL
To amend the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to provide for the eligibility of Transportation Security Administration employees to receive public safety officers death benefits, and for other purposes.
This Act may be cited as the Honoring Our Fallen TSA Officers Act
.
Section 1204(14) of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (34 U.S.C. 10284(14)) is amended—
in subparagraph (F), by striking or
at the end;
in subparagraph (G), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; or
; and
by inserting after subparagraph (G) the following:
This Act and the amendments made by this Act shall apply with respect an injury sustained by an individual described in subparagraph (H) of section 1204(14) of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (34 U.S.C. 10284(14)), as added by this Act, on or after October 31, 2013.
