IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
A BILL
To amend the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to authorize the funds under the matching grant program for school security to be used to hire school resource officers, and for other purposes.
This Act may be cited as the Funding Officers and Resources To Increase Facility Youth Protection Act FORTIFY Act
or the

in subsection (a)(1), by striking through (9)
and inserting through (12)
; and
in subsection (b)—
by redesignating paragraph (9) as paragraph (12); and
by inserting after paragraph (8) the following:
Purchasing firearms and protective equipment for school resource officers.
Purchasing vehicles, including all terrain vehicles, golf carts, scooters, and bicycles, for use by school resource officers.
Section 2702 of part AA of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (34 U.S.C. 10552) is amended by adding at the end the following:
