Bill overview
This bill creates two new federal funds to support state efforts in border security and criminal alien prosecution. The State Border Security Reinforcement Fund will provide grants to states for building border barriers, surveillance, and relocating unlawful immigrants. The State Criminal Alien Prosecution and Detention Fund will offer financial assistance to states for locating, apprehending, and prosecuting criminal aliens, as well as supporting related court operations and detention activities. Both funds have a sunset date of January 20, 2029.
