Bill overview
This bill proposes a new postage stamp, the ‘Veterans Medical Debt Relief Stamp,’ to raise funds for paying down medical debt incurred by veterans. The stamp would be sold by the United States Postal Service, with all proceeds going directly to the Department of Veterans Affairs. These funds would then be used to reduce outstanding medical bills for veterans who have received care through the VA or the Community Care Program. The stamp would be issued annually for Veterans Day.
