Bill overview
This bill would give the President the authority to sell unused federal property during government shutdowns, allowing funds from these sales to be used to pay the salaries and expenses of federal employees who are not furloughed during the shutdown. It establishes a process for depositing these funds into the general fund for deficit reduction and, uniquely, proposes using some of the funds to purchase Greenland. The bill also includes restrictions on selling property to certain adversarial nations.
