Bill overview
The Don’t Sell Kids’ Data Act of 2025 aims to protect children and teenagers from having their personal data sold by data brokers. It prohibits data brokers from collecting, using, or maintaining this data, and requires them to delete it upon request from the child, their parent, or a legal guardian. The Federal Trade Commission will enforce the law, and individuals can also sue data brokers for violations.
