Bill overview
The Food Farmacy Act of 2025 aims to improve public health by establishing a grant program to help create and operate ‘food farmacies’ – facilities that provide access to nutritious foods and nutritional guidance. This legislation authorizes the Department of Health and Human Services to provide funding to eligible organizations, such as non-profits, state/local governments, and Tribal organizations, to set up these pharmacies and offer services to underserved communities. The program will track the effectiveness of these pharmacies in addressing food insecurity and improving health outcomes.
