The SPY Kids Act prohibits companies from conducting market research on children and teenagers through covered online platforms. These platforms, which include websites and apps that encourage user engagement, cannot gather personal information to target minors with advertising or product recommendations. The Federal Trade Commission will enforce this law, and states can also take action to protect their residents if they believe this Act is being violated.
