Bill overview
The Health Act of 2025 aims to permanently expand Medicare coverage of telehealth services, particularly for federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) and rural health clinics (RHCs). Specifically, it allows for audio-only telehealth services and removes geographic restrictions on distant site telehealth visits. Payments for these services will be made in the same manner as traditional services, rather than through a separate Medicare methodology.
