This bill establishes the Office of the National Fraud and Scam Prevention within the Executive Office of the President. The Office, headed by a Director appointed by the President, will be responsible for advising the President on scam and fraud prevention policy, coordinating efforts across federal agencies, establishing a fraud data shield program, and leading the government’s response to significant fraud campaigns. The Office will also focus on public awareness, international cooperation, and assessing the effectiveness of existing fraud prevention strategies, with a sunset provision after five years.
