Bill overview
This bill, the Taiwan International Solidarity Act, amends the Taiwan Allies International Protection and Enhancement Initiative (TAIPEI) Act of 2019 to strengthen U.S. support for Taiwan. Specifically, it clarifies that the United States should oppose any attempts by China to distort international organizations’ decisions regarding Taiwan’s status and explicitly instructs U.S. representatives to advocate for Taiwan’s interests within those organizations. The bill also encourages U.S. allies and partners to resist China’s efforts to undermine Taiwan’s relationships with other countries.
