Bill overview
The BRAVE Act aims to improve mental health support for veterans by requiring the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to create a system for proactively reaching out to veterans who have experienced traumatic or stressful events. This system will provide veterans with information about mental health resources and services available to them. The VA will work with the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program to coordinate these efforts. The goal is to ensure veterans have access to the mental health support they need.
