Bill overview
The Airline Passenger Compensation Act of 2025 aims to provide financial compensation and rebooking assistance to passengers whose flights are significantly delayed or canceled due to the airline’s actions. If a domestic or international flight is delayed by more than 3 hours but less than 9 hours, passengers could receive up to $300 and a free rebooking on the next available flight. For delays of 9 hours or more, passengers could receive up to $775 and a free rebooking. This legislation clarifies these compensation requirements and distinguishes them from existing refund regulations.
