Bill overview
This bill allows NASA to help the town of Chincoteague, Virginia, pay for the removal and replacement of drinking water wells that have become contaminated with PFAS chemicals. The contamination stems from the use of firefighting foam at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility. NASA will enter into an agreement with Chincoteague to cover the costs associated with relocating these wells to new locations under the town’s control.
