Bill overview
This bill directs the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to conduct a comprehensive review of the Mid-Atlantic River Basin Commissions – the Susquehanna, Delaware, and Potomac Commissions – examining their ethics, public communication practices, funding, and potential overlaps with other federal agencies. The GAO will then submit a report to Congress with recommendations for increased transparency and oversight. Each commission is required to submit a plan to Congress within five years outlining how they will address the GAO’s recommendations.
