Bill overview
This bill aims to expand access to headstones and burial markers for older veterans. It would establish a two-year pilot program within the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide these markers to veterans who died before November 1, 1990, and were discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. Currently, these benefits are limited to veterans who died on or after that date. The bill also requires the VA to update its website with information about eligibility for these markers.
