Bill overview
The Tunisia Democracy Restoration Act aims to support the restoration of democracy in Tunisia by imposing sanctions on individuals and entities undermining democratic processes or engaging in corruption and human rights abuses. It requires the President to create a public list of sanctioned foreign persons and restricts visas and entry for those on the list. The Act also directs the State Department to develop a strategy for restoring Tunisian democracy and includes a sunset provision after four years.
