Bill overview
This bill, the ‘Destroying Unnecessary, Misaligned, and Prohibitive Red Tape Act,’ requires the Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy to create and maintain a ‘Red Tape Hotline.’ This hotline will allow small businesses to report the burdens they experience from federal agency rules. The Office of Advocacy will then report annually to Congress and the SBA about the types of rules businesses are complaining about, along with recommendations for agencies to address those concerns.
