Bill overview
The Let’s Get to Work Act of 2025 modifies the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and public housing programs to increase work requirements for recipients. Specifically, it raises the age limit for ABAWDs (adults without dependents) subject to work requirements from 55 to 60 years old and restricts the dependent child exemption to those under 6 years of age. The bill also extends the allowable period of non-compliance with work requirements for families with dependent children to six months over a 36-month period. Furthermore, it applies SNAP work requirements to families living in public housing and those receiving tenant-based rental assistance.
