The Veterans’ True Choice Act of 2025 expands eligibility for TRICARE Select, a Department of Defense healthcare program, to include certain veterans with service-connected disabilities, including Purple Heart and Medal of Honor recipients. The bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to reimburse the Department of Defense for the costs associated with enrolling these veterans. It also clarifies enrollment rules and establishes a memorandum of understanding between the VA and DoD to coordinate implementation. Concurrent enrollment in both VA and DOD healthcare is prohibited.
