Bill overview
The REAL Health Providers Act aims to improve the accuracy and transparency of provider directories used by Medicare Advantage plans. It requires plans to regularly verify provider information, prominently display accuracy scores, and provide cost-sharing protections to enrollees if they receive care from a provider not listed in the directory. The bill also establishes a process for analyzing directory accuracy and requires the Secretary to issue guidance to both Medicare Advantage organizations and providers on maintaining accurate directories.
