Bill overview
This bill directs the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a feasibility study for expanding the Lewis and Clark Regional Water System, which provides water to communities in Iowa, Minnesota, and South Dakota. The study will assess whether constructing a larger system is viable and, if so, determine the appropriate funding split between the federal government and a non-federal entity. The study’s findings will be made public and submitted to Congress for review. The bill also authorizes $10 million for the study’s completion.
