Bill overview
The WORK to Save Lives Act aims to combat the opioid crisis by encouraging workplaces to prepare for and respond to overdoses. It directs the Department of Labor to provide guidance and, eventually, regulations for employers and federal agencies on obtaining and administering opioid overdose reversal medications like naloxone. The bill promotes voluntary employee training on how to use these medications to save lives. This legislation seeks to increase access to and knowledge of these life-saving resources.
