The Capping Prescription Costs Act of 2025 aims to limit the amount individuals and families pay for prescription drugs through cost-sharing in health insurance plans. Starting in 2026, health plans would be capped at $2,000 per individual or $4,000 per family annually for prescription drug cost-sharing. The cost-sharing limit would adjust annually based on the Consumer Price Index. The bill extends these cost-sharing caps to group health plans covered by the Public Health Service Act, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, and the Internal Revenue Code.
