Bill overview
The Reentry Act of 2025 aims to improve healthcare access for incarcerated individuals by allowing states to provide Medicaid coverage for medical services received during the 30 days before an inmate’s release. The bill also directs the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission to study the impact of this change and offer recommendations for better supporting the transition of formerly incarcerated individuals back into the community.
