Bill overview
This bill changes the eligibility requirements for a presumption of service-connection related to certain diseases caused by herbicide exposure for veterans. Specifically, it expands the timeframe for service in Guam or its territorial waters to include all time between August 15, 1958, and July 31, 1980, rather than just between January 9, 1962, and July 31, 1980. This change aims to provide more veterans who served in Guam during that period with access to potential benefits. It updates a provision within the PACT Act to reflect a more accurate historical record of service in Guam.
