Bill overview
This bill, the United States Foreign Service Commemorative Coin Act, directs the Treasury Secretary to mint and issue commemorative coins – $5 gold coins, $1 silver coins, and half-dollar clad coins – to recognize the history and contributions of the U.S. Foreign Service. The coins will feature designs emblematic of diplomacy and will include a surcharge that will be donated to the Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training to support the preservation of diplomatic history. The coins will be issued in 2029 and sold to the public.
